A Missouri Lottery player in Ballwin was in disbelief after uncovering a top prize in the “$100,000 Diamond Dazzler” Scratchers game.
“I was scratching the ticket and saw the 5X (multiplier symbol) on the back,” he recalled. “Then I see a $20,000 prize, and I about fell on the floor. I said to myself, ‘No, this can’t be.’”
He had revealed one of the game’s six $100,000 top prizes. Two additional top prizes of $100,000 remain unclaimed.
“I couldn’t believe it. I immediately called my wife and told her, ‘I think we won $100,000!’” he laughed. “I was dumbfounded. It was an out-of-body experience.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K, 595 Big Bend Road, in Ballwin.
“$100,000 Diamond Dazzler” is a $5 Scratchers game. To date, Lottery players have won more than $12.4 million on the ticket.
In FY23, players in St. Louis County won more than $207.7 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $20 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $76 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
