During a stop at Dunn Road Mart, 3555 Dunn Road in Florissant, a Missouri Lottery player decided to pick up a “Money Rush” Scratchers ticket.
“I usually buy that ticket,” she said.
As she began to scratch it off, she slowly realized she had won one of the $100,000 top prizes offered in the game.
“At the present time, I didn’t realize I had won,” she explained. “I had to pinch myself to make sure it was real.”
After a few days, it did finally sink in and then she got excited.
“I told (a family member) about it,” she said. “And I set aside some money for him.”
“Money Rush” players have won more than $12.9 million in prizes since the game was released. Over $2.6 million remain in unclaimed prizes, including one more top prize of $100,000.
In FY23, players in St. Louis County won more than $207.7 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $20 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $76 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
