A Show Me Cash ticket purchased at Harps Food Store, 1 Parkway Center in Potosi, gave a Missouri Lottery player the chance to fulfill a promise he’d made to himself when he won the jackpot prize in the June 8 drawing.
“I’ve been playing for a while, and I’ve always said if I won I would buy a new vehicle,” he shared.
The day after the drawing, he went back to the store to check his ticket.
“I was checking it at the store I bought it at, and it said that I needed to claim it at the Lottery office,” he said.
Unsure how much he had won, he checked his numbers against the winning numbers, and he was shocked to discover he had won that night’s jackpot prize of $73,000.
“I was pretty excited,” he added, sharing that his new car promise was indeed about to come true.
The winning numbers on June 8 were 4, 18, 24, 30 and 39.
Show Me Cash is drawn daily at 8:59 p.m., with jackpots that start at $50,000 and grow until won. Tonight’s jackpot is estimated at $201,000.
Players who purchased tickets in Washington County in FY23 won more than $4.6 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $471,000 in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $560,000 in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
