A Missouri Lottery player won $65,000 on a Show Me Cash ticket he purchased at Flying J, 4939 W. Chestnut Expressway, in Springfield. The winning Quick Pick ticket matched all five numbers – 3, 14, 16, 17 and 38 – in the Jan. 31 drawing.
“I scanned my ticket, and the screen showed something about going to the Lottery,” the winner shared.
To double-check, he took the ticket to the clerk at the counter and asked her to scan it.
“She looked at the screen, then she looked at me,” he explained. “She looked at the screen again and said, ‘You won $65,000!’”
The winner plans to use some of the winnings to visit family out of state.
Show Me Cash is an in-state Draw Game with daily drawings held at 8:59 p.m. Jackpots start at $50,000 and grow until won. Tonight’s jackpot is estimated at $106,000.
In FY24, players in Greene County won more than $49.4 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $4.3 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $19.1 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
