Spotting a new Scratchers ticket at Doniphan Investment LLC, 103 First St. in Doniphan, a Missouri Lottery player decided to purchase the new game. That decision led to a $50,000 prize on a “$1,000,000 Cash Craze” Scratchers ticket.
After claiming her prize at the Lottery’s Springfield regional office, she recalled how her hand had shaken as she scratched the prize amounts and realized she was holding a winning ticket.
“I was shaking so much,” the winner laughed. “I had to have my husband finish scratching the ticket!”
Players of the “$1,000,000 Cash Craze” game have won more than $6.1 million since the $10 ticket was released Dec.30. Over $27.9 million in prizes remain unclaimed - including two $1 million top prizes and three additional $50,000 prizes.
In FY24, players in Ripley County won more than $1.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $175,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $75,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
